Throughout history, people have created inventions that have shaped the way modern society operates. One such invention is the radio. Although it began as a very limited form of media, it grew into something that changed the world.

The creation and widespread adoption of the radio resulted in many of the technologies that we use on a daily basis. According to class lectures, the ability to broadcast signals over long distances resulted in not only the creation of television, but also in the creation of cell phones, which almost everyone now carries with them daily.

Without the radio, modern society would look very different than it does today. Although many people don’t listen to the standard radio on a daily basis anymore, that technology is the basis for a lot of the devices we use today.
